Fans of Aston Martin car hire may be interested to hear that the marque is celebrating the success of its GT4 Vantage by supporting four race series.

The company has announced that it will be lending its expertise to four European race programmes during 2010.

Included is the Aston Martin British GT4 Challenge, the Aston Martin Nurburgring Trophy, Aston Martin 24 Hour Challenge and the Aston Martin GT4 Cup.

David King, head of motor sport at the company, commented: "GT4 racing not only demonstrates the capabilities and pedigree of our V8 Vantage road car, but also connects us directly with our customers.

"We are delighted to offer them a greater choice of events along with rewards and incentives for choosing to race our cars."

The announcement comes after the Vantage GT4 achieved unprecedented success both in racing and sales figures since its launch three years ago.

Aston Martin first unveiled the racing version of its V8 Vantage car during the 2006 British Motor Show.
