Audi car hire enthusiasts may wish to note that the manufacturer is planning to release an updated version of its A2 supermini in the next few years.
Speaking during the Geneva Motor Show earlier this month, Audi's CEO Rupert Stadler revealed that there was room for the brand to expand its range "between the A3 and A1" models.
According to reports on various car websites, the A2 is expected to be based on the same platform as the forthcoming A1 car and is likely to continue with the marque's commitment to innovative electric technology with an e-tron model.
The previous A2 model was in production from 1999 through to 2005 and was noted for the fact that it used a significant amount of aluminium for its body design.
This gave it a significant weight advantage over other models within its class, as well as helping to improve fuel consumption and overall performance.
