Individuals keen on BMW car hire may wish to try out the new Z4, which one reviewer has described as being the ideal vehicle for the driving enthusiast.

According to a review in Autocar, Greg Kable has said the the sDrive 35iS represents a return from the manufacturer to producing cars for motorists with a passion for driving.

A reworked 3.0-litre engine pumps out 335bhp and is capable of posting a 4.8-second zero to 62mph time, which is enough to outsprint rivals such as the Porsche Boxster S.

Meanwhile, the car also benefits from a new body kit, which has been designed by BMW's M division, a lower ride height and more menacing 18-inch alloy wheels.

Mr Kable writes: "The reworked engine is super-responsive, with the sort of free-revving nature that makes it feel more like a normally aspirated unit than a turbocharged one. It also produces a wonderful soundtrack."

Meanwhile, the vehicle also features a sports exhaust with special acoustic flaps and a modified silencer to give a performance car sound.
