Audi car hire fans may be interested in news from the manufacturer's customer sports programme.
The German car maker has begun delivery of its R8 Le Mans cars to various teams across the country where the vehicles will be entered into and raced in numerous events.
It means that Audi customers will be able to drive and compete in a race standard sports car.
Dr Wolfgang Ullrich, head of Audi Motorsport, said: "During our evolution project we primarily focused on service life and maintenance-friendliness.
"We're convinced that we're handing over a reliable and easy to handle vehicle to our customers that embodies the high quality standards of the Audi brand."
Among the improvements that the marque has made to its GT3 cars include a revised chassis and suspension, increased engine cooling capacity and optimised electronics and exhaust systems.
Meanwhile, customers who follow the manufacturer in the DTM race series may be interested to know that it has completed its full line up of drivers for the 2010 season.
